Former UFC flyweight champion Ronda Rousey has spoken out about her decision to hang up the gloves in 2017 after two straight losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunez.

"I know I'm the greatest fighter that ever lived. But when it came to the amount of neurological damage I had sustained, it became clear that I couldn't do it anymore. Suddenly everything I had accomplished no longer mattered.

After the second fight, when I saw that all these people who were the reason I came back to fight had suddenly turned against me, my appreciation turned to resentment. I just didn't want to do anything or have anything to do with them. I didn't want to do anything for them anymore because I gave everything I had," Rosey said in an interview with YouTube channel Valeria Lipovetsky.
