Michael Bisping, former UFC middleweight champion, has spoken out about the recently announced fight between Robert Whittaker and Hamzat Chimaev.
"Great fight, it makes a lot of sense in the middleweight division. However, if I'm not mistaken, this will be the first five-round fight for Khamzat Chimaev. And that can't help but be alarming. Robert Whittaker is not slowing down, he is very experienced and has been performing at the highest level for a long time. In the fight against Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns, Hamzat was slowing down and the second and third rounds were very close. If he can't finish Whittaker early in the fight, a five-round fight against a guy like that is going to be a real disaster for Hamzat. Anything can happen in this fight. And it's a good fight. A very, very good fight," Bisping said in an interview with Galaxy MMA.
