Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe reacted to the defeat of his client American Rolando Romero in his fight with Mexican Isaac Cruz.

On March 30, Romero lost to Cruz by technical knockout and forfeited his WBA bantamweight belt at Boxing Night in Las Vegas, USA.

"It was a good fight. Rolando suffered a setback. Congratulations to Isaac and his team. They showed a very good fight. No, Rolly doesn't need a rest. That's boxing. Shit happens. Romero was in phenomenal shape and had several successful moments in the fight.

Proud of Romero. He gave it his all. Shit happens, it's part of the sport. But I don't even think about it. I'm concerned about the health and well-being of my fighters. Romero is fine," the functionary said in an interview with Fight Hub TV.
