UFC CEO Dana White shared his memories of how he promoted the Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor bout.
"At the time, I was mercilessly criticized for the fact that we did a commercial that had footage of the bus attack. You know how awful the media can be. They said I condoned the violence that Conor did.
But I told the story. It's the story of how we got to this point, how big of a fight this is, how much tension there is between these two guys. I think that's what we do best - we tell the stories for what reason the fight is going to happen," White said on Lex Friedman's podcast.
Recall that in October 2018, Nurmagomedov forced McGregor to surrender in the fourth round.
