Elijah Topuria, UFC featherweight champion, shared his opinion on the organization's former two-weight champion Conor McGregor. Topuria doesn't understand how anyone can hate the star Irishman.
"I really admire the man a lot and have a lot of respect for everything he's done in the sport. It's silly to hate him. After everything he's done in his personal life and all the achievements he has. I don't like to judge people I don't know personally. Either way, he's an icon of the sport," Combatalk quoted the fighter as saying.
McGregor had his last fight in the summer of 2021, losing early to Puryear. After that, he spent a long period of time recovering from injury, and there was no news about his fight. However, Conor has spoken several times recently about wanting to fight Michael Chandler in June.
