As journalist Michael Coppinger reports, Terence Crawford is now a free agent. Crawford signed with Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions for one fight against Errol Spence, and the rematch planning window that was included in the contract for the first fight has expired. All this means that Crawford is now a free agent, both through his relations with promoters and through television channels.

The former two-division undisputed champion is expected to now consider offers from promoters who will provide him with opportunities for lucrative fights. It makes no sense for Crawford to continue competing on PBC for another year off, since he has no one to fight there. Spence is nowhere near the fighter he once was. Saul Alvarez also left RVS, and, most likely, will never return.

Crawford has made no secret of his desire to fight Canelo, and the place where he can get that opportunity is Matchroom Boxing and DAZN. This is where Canelo will reportedly end up after splitting from PBC.
