Ben Davison, trainer of former unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, assessed the level of the mixed martial arts star Francis Ngannou, with whom his ward will fight on March 8 in the main event of the boxing evening in Riyadh.

“You need to treat Francis with respect. Let's not lose sight of him. He lost only a split decision to Tyson Fury. This immediately puts him on the level of the guys who were able to fight Fury. The guy showed composure and patience in that battle. This is all a threat when you can hit. It's easier to deal with a puncher when he's acting recklessly.

Ngannou is new to our sport, so we didn't expect to see these qualities. We expected a lack of composure and patience on his part, but he showed everyone what he was capable of. Therefore, we look at him as a world-class heavyweight,” the Sky Sports specialist quotes.
