On March 30, at a boxing evening from DAZN under the auspices of Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions in Los Angeles, a fight for the WBA world champion title in the first heavyweight weight should take place between Arsen Gulamiryan (27-0, 18 KOs) and Gilberto Ramirez (45-1, 30 KOs). For Gulamiryan this will be his debut fight in the USA.

The winner of this fight will have to make a mandatory title defense within 120 days against Yuniel Dorticos (26-2, 24 KOs), former heavyweight champion.

For Ramirez, who previously held the super middleweight title, this will be a chance to win the title in his second weight class. Gulamiryan last boxed in November 2022. He has held the full WBA cruiserweight title since 2019 after the former undisputed champion retired from the division Alexandra Usika (21-0, 14 KOs), who has since won the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.
