Shane Fury criticized his father for wanting to fight Froch

Shane Fury, brother of the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, reacted to his 59-year-old father John’s challenge to the 46-year-old former leader of the second middle division Carl Froch.

“To be honest, this is quite strange of him. I don’t agree with him, but everyone does what they want. I didn't even discuss it with him. My father is emotional and when he is angry he takes strange steps. It would be better if he just ate and watched TV.

It doesn't really bother me. Several people are offering him a fight, we'll see what happens. Do I want this? No, not really. But if you are ready to challenge everyone to a fight, and someone responds, then you need to move on. Will this be an interesting fight? Probably not at 60 years old. But, of course, there will be people who want to watch it,” Shane said in an interview with Boxing News.

Let us remember that Fury Sr. previously “smashed” Froch after he questioned Tyson’s achievements.
