Dustin Poirier, the former interim UFC lightweight champion, explained why he doesn't want to fight the number four ranked lightweight Arman Tsarukyan. According to Poirier, the whole point is that he and Armand are teammates.
“I wouldn’t want to fight guys from my gym, just because I remember Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler fighting and how it divided the gym into two camps, it’s a bad atmosphere. You know, I want to train without having to close the cage from other trainers, and without choosing the time when I can train in the gym,” Cormier said.
Let us remind you that Tsarukyan will fight his next fight against Charles Oliveira. This confrontation will take place on April 13 as part of UFC 300.
