Cormier reacted to the possible creation of a new division in the UFC

Daniel Cormier, a former two-division UFC champion and current commentator and analyst, responded to rumors that the promotion is planning to create a new weight class. According to Cormier, this could happen because of the former two-weight champion Conor McGregor.

“Someone said the UFC wants to create a new division, 165 pounds, and move 170 pounds to 175 pounds. That's because they want McGregor to fight Chandler for the 165-pound title. If this is done, it will be for a reason. That has to mean something,” DC said.

Let us remind you that it is currently unknown when McGregor may return to the Octagon.
