Former UFC bantamweight champion American Aljamain Sterling spoke about the result of the fight between his compatriot Sean Strickland and compatriot Dricus Du Plessis.

On January 20 at UFC 297, Du Plessis defeated Strickland by split decision and won the middleweight title.

“I would definitely give the first and fifth rounds to Strickland. The fourth is Du Plessis. So, the controversial five minutes that became turning points are the second and third.

If there is an argument to be made for a third round, it would be Du Plessis. I think he was more active. In the second round, Sean landed cleaner. Drikus tried to be active, he hit more often, but Strickland was more accurate and his shots did more damage,” Sterling said on his YouTube channel.
