Sean Strickland, former UFC middleweight champion, believes he lost his belt Dricus Du Plessis due to a head impact.

“I didn’t act like a coward and didn’t tell the doctor that I didn’t see anything for the fight to be declared invalid. The only reason you took this round from me is because I couldn't see. I won this fight, the whole world knows that I won this fight. The belt they gave you will never make you a champion, so enjoy it. They had to stitch right through the muscle to close the cut. Thank you everyone - your support helps me keep my head high despite all of this. I am eternally grateful.”
