Edgar will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame

Frankie Edgar, a former UFC lightweight champion, will become the first fighter this year to be inducted into the organization's Hall of Fame. This was announced during the broadcast of the promotion's 297th tournament, which took place on the morning of January 21 in Toronto.

Edgar became the UFC champion in 2010, taking the championship belt from BJ Penn. He has three successful title defenses to his name.

In 2022, having suffered three defeats in a row, the American MMA veteran decided to end his fighting career.
