“I think I should choose Du Plessis because of all the emotions with Sean Strickland. I'll have to bet on the King of Africa. He seems to be in the right place mentally. He has good top control, excellent skills on the ground and in striking. As much as I want to give preference to Strickland, I can’t doubt the dude who beat Robert Whittaker,” Cejudo says to MMA Fighting.
Strickland and Du Plessis will headline UFC 297, which will take place on the night of January 21 in Toronto.
