Walker: “I hope Ankalaev will win the championship belt”

Brazilian light heavyweight Joni Walker wished his last opponent Magomed Ankalaev become UFC champion.

Last weekend at the UFC Fight Night 234 tournament in Las Vegas, Ankalaev knocked out Walker in the second round.

"It is what it is. I am one of the best fighters in the world. And I fight with the best fighters in the world. Therefore, victory could have gone to both me and him. It so happened that on that particular evening he was better, my congratulations to Magomed. Hopefully he can now go and win the belt,” Walker wrote in X.
