Sterling will not return to bantamweight

Aljamain Sterling, the former UFC bantamweight champion, said he will not return to the division and plans to surprise the world at featherweight.

ā€œYou can say that I finished competing in the bantamweight division. 135 pounds is gone. Even last time I didnā€™t want to do weights. The bantamweight division is over. I'm very happy to be back in the Octagon. IĀ think thatā€™s the most important thing. I'm definitely nervous because I'm used to being a bigger guy, even though I don't get that big when I hydrate at 135, but I think I left something in the gym by cutting down to 135, so I wanted to ā€œI want to see what I can do at 145 pounds and Iā€™m going to shock the world,ā€ Sterling said.

Let us remind you that Sterling will fight his next fight on April 13 at UFC 300 with Calvin Kattar.
