Klitschko: “January 1 in Kyiv will be declared a day of mourning”

Former world champion and current mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klichko reacted to the massive shelling of the capital of Ukraine by Russian troops.

“The attack on December 29 was the largest in terms of the number of casualties among civilians in the capital. Currently, 16 bodies of the dead have been pulled out from under the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenko district. Rescuers continue to work and will clear the rubble until tomorrow. January 1 in Kyiv will be declared a day of mourning,” Klitschko Sr. wrote on social networks.

At the moment, rescue efforts are still ongoing, and unfortunately, there may be more victims.
