This information has not yet been officially confirmed, but it seems that Daniel Dubois's (22-3, 21 KO) corner will look completely different in upcoming fights.
Three days ago, information emerged that Kieran Farrell, the head coach's assistant, left the team of the former heavyweight champion. At that moment, it seemed that the position of head coach Don Charles remained unshakeable.
There is still no official information about the change of head coach, but Dubois was recently spotted in Tony Sims' gym in Essex. Tony Sims is a well-known specialist working as a coach, including with Conor Benn. He previously also worked with Anthony Joshua.
Sims, like Charles, is one of the most experienced trainers in the UK and once led Anthony Joshua to the IBF heavyweight title. Recently, he began working with Johnny Fisher after the latter parted ways with Mark Tibbs.
After Charles, Shane McGuigan, and Martin Bowers, Sims may become Dubois' fourth coach in eight years of professional career. Even more importantly, he has become Dubois' fourth coach in less than the last five years, and, unusually, he may start working with a fighter from the Matchroom stable rather than Queensberry Promotions.
Charles began training Dubois before his fight for the IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight titles against Oleksandr Usyk in 2023.
