Former UFC champion in two weight classes Daniel Cormier expressed the opinion that the indecisiveness of the former interim title holder in the welterweight category Colby Covington in a duel with the division champion Leon Edwards was associated with fear.
On December 16, in the main event of UFC 296 in Las Vegas, Edwards defeated Covington by unanimous decision.
“I want to ask Colby, ‘What was that?’ And I’ll ask him a specific question: ‘Were you afraid?’ I thought he was a little scared... We’ve never seen Colby not apply pressure. This is his crown. That’s all he does from start to finish,” Cormier said in the latest episode of his YouTube channel.
