Anderson replied to Joe Rogan

Corey Anderson, a former top UFC fighter and now a Bellator light heavyweight, responded to the words of Joe Rogan, who recently stated that all top fighters should strive to get into the UFC.

“As someone who spent seven years in the UFC and left the organization in fourth place in the rankings, I want to say that I did not have enough money to pay the bills and start building a future for my family. Between fights, my wife and I had to go to full-time jobs until I received a payday for my first fight in Bellator. In my first fight for Bellator, I received five times more money, and was able to free my wife from work for the first time and completely focus on my fighting career. What good is a fan base if you have to go to work every day? So if you want fans and fame, yes, you will have a better chance in the UFC. But if you want to make money, study the market and go where the money is. Fame doesn’t pay the bills—money does!”
