Parker: 'We'll see if Wilder has rust'

Former WBO world heavyweight champion Joseph Parker shared his thoughts on the fact that the former WBC belt holder Deontay Wilder approaches a duel with him after a long period of inactivity.

Let us remind you that the fight between the New Zealander and the American will take place on December 23 as part of a boxing evening in Riyadh.

“I think it’s very important to stay active because as you work you’re always progressing and becoming better. When you hone your technique and skills, you don't need to get in shape because you're already in shape.

Wilder's vacation was too long. We’ll see soon if he’s not covered with the rust that many fighters develop when they don’t fight for a long time,” Parker said in an interview with talkSPORT.

Let us remember that Wilder had his previous fight in October last year, when he knocked down Robert Helenius in the first round.
