Shadasia Green is an American professional boxer competing in the bantamweight division. Born on April 22, 1995, in Augusta, Georgia, she began boxing at the age of nine under the tutelage of local youth boxing programs designed to support at-risk children. Her early introduction to the sport helped her develop discipline, focus, and a strong work ethic during her formative years.
Green had a distinguished amateur career, earning multiple regional and national titles. In 2013, she won a gold medal at the U.S. Junior National Championships and went on to compete in elite-level tournaments, including USA Boxing championships, where she reached the later rounds and gained recognition for her technical skill and ring generalship.
Turning professional in 2016, Green quickly built momentum with a series of victories on the regional circuit. She claimed the NABF bantamweight title in 2019 and successfully defended it in 2020 and early 2021. Her polished technique, sharp jab, and counterpunching ability earned her respect within her division and attracted attention from major promoters.
In August 2022, Green earned a world title opportunity, challenging for the WBC bantamweight championship. Although she fell short in a competitive bout, her performance reinforced her standing at the top level. She rebounded in 2023 with a decisive victory over a former world title challenger, positioning herself once again as a leading contender.
Known for her measured pacing, adaptability, and ring IQ, Green continues to prepare for future title bids while serving as a mentor for young athletes in her hometown. As of 2025, she remains an active and respected figure in women’s boxing, focused on securing a world championship.
