Ex-world champions Englishman Anthony Crolla (31-6-3, 13 KOs) and Scotsman Ricky Burns (41-6-1, 14 KOs) will hold a match on October 7 in Manchester, the hometown of Anthony, in the lightweight division. Both Crolla and Burns lost their last fights, and a loss in the upcoming meeting could mean the end of the title prospects in their future.

Purse bids for a pair of mandatory world title fights have been scheduled for April 27 at IBF headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey. Unless the sides make deals, there will be an auction for promotional rights for the fight between junior welterweight titlist Julius Indongo (22-0, 11 KOs), of Namibia, who unified two belts by easily outpointing Ricky Burns on Saturday, and Kazakhstan's Sergiy Lipinets (12-0, 10 KOs).

In a huge super lightweight unification clash, IBF champion Julius Indongo (22-1, 11 KOs) claimed the belt of WBA champion Ricky Burns (41-6-1, 14 KOs) with a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. After a slow start, Indongo’s power started paying dividends as he broke Burns down. Burns tried to rally late, but still he had to be wary of Indongo’s power. Burns down in round twelve, ruled a slip. Scores were 120-108, 118-110, 116-112.
