Her most significant triumph came in April 2024 when she defeated former two-division world champion Choi Hyun-mi to capture the vacant WBA female lightweight Gold title, marking her first professional world championship. In January 2025, she challenged for the WBC and IBO lightweight titles, but the bout ended in a technical draw due to an accidental clash of heads.
Camara continues to hold the WBA female lightweight Gold title and is scheduled to challenge for the interim WBC super lightweight title in July 2025. Known for her resilience, technical skill, and dedication, she remains a respected and prominent figure in women’s boxing.
