A trip to one of soccer’s most iconic venues turned into a personal full-circle moment for Merab Dvalishvili. The former UFC bantamweight champion recently visited Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge in London and spoke about how surreal it felt to finally see in person a stadium he used to watch on television as a kid.

“This is my first time here, and I really love it here. As a kid, I often watched matches from this stadium on TV, and it felt unreal, but now it has become reality for me. I remember watching Didier Drogba, I loved him, and all my friends loved him too. He was such a great player, and Chelsea was one of the best teams that I often watched in the Champions League. Every time I watched Drogba, he was very technical, and he was enjoyable to watch.

I’m really amazed because everything here in London is so beautiful. I’ve been to many countries and cities, but London is one of the best cities I’ve ever been to,” Dvalishvili said, according to the club’s press service.
