Tom Aspinall, UFC heavyweight champion, has signed a contract with the promotional agency Matchroom Talent Agency, led by Eddie Hearn.
“When I started talking to Tom, I found that this man had lost his former energy. I told him: “Hold your head up high. You are the UFC heavyweight champion and one of the biggest martial arts stars. Let's go and take what the hell is yours,” Hearn's words were quoted by journalist Ariel Helwani on the social network X.
Recall that Aspinall suffered an eye injury in a fight with Ciryl Gane after a poke from the Frenchman. The fight was declared a no-contest. Later, the Briton underwent surgery on both eyes.
