Prates on McGregor: "In the end, he chickened out and ran away"

Carlos Prates, UFC welterweight, stated that the former two-weight division champion Conor McGregor was scared to fight him.

“I never received anything directly from the UFC, but I know they offered McGregor my candidacy. Yes, they mentioned my name to him, and in the end, he chickened out and ran away. Because I am a very inconvenient opponent for him. This guy hasn't fought in five years, and moreover, this is not even his weight category.

Although his recent fights were in welterweight, he is not a natural welterweight, and I am currently on the rise, knocking everyone out. If I were in his place, I wouldn’t accept such a fight either — not for anything. I think he probably wants to fight some former champion or someone like that.”
