Aspinall advises Volkanovski to retire at his peak: "I want him to win the rematch and end his career"

UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, known for his straightforwardness and respect for octagon legends, expressed an unexpected opinion about the future of one of the greatest featherweights in history—Alex Volkanovski.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, the Briton stated that he hopes for the Australian's retirement after the upcoming title rematch.

"I am the biggest fan of Alex Volkanovski. I hope he will retire after the rematch with Diego Lopez. I want him to win and leave at his peak. Alex is one of the best in history. Let him leave undefeated in the eyes of the fans," Aspinall said.

Let us recall that on January 31, at the UFC 325 tournament in Sydney, Australia, Volkanovski will have a rematch with Brazilian Diego Lopez, whom he previously defeated by unanimous decision.
