Renowned American mixed martial arts veteran Demetrious Johnson commented on the UFC management's decision to schedule a rematch between the promotion's featherweight champion, Australian Alexander Volkanovski, and Brazilian Diego Lopez.
"I believe that Alex Volkanovski won that fight [against Diego Lopez] with a big advantage. Are we doing this for popularity or to determine who is better? This is where I begin to doubt the legitimacy of what we call this sport. That's why I always say that it's not quite a sport. It's selection and curation. I'll promote this athlete because he has a market," said Johnson in a video on his Mighty YouTube channel.
