Adesanya: "Titles are no longer important to me"

The former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya stated that he no longer aims to reclaim the title.

"Belts are no longer important to me. I have two shiny belts at home—they look beautiful, but I just want to fight. I want to do the same things I did on my way to the championship title. Yes, I performed excellently when defending the belt, but now I want to fight more freely and try risky things," Adesanya said during the Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA show.

It is worth noting that the 36-year-old Adesanya is on a three-fight losing streak. In his last fight, which took place in February, the New Zealand Nigerian was knocked out by Nassurdin Imavov.
