"The UFC doesn't want our fight to happen. Previously, Alex said he could fight with Du Plessis in middleweight, but now this guy says: 'Khamzat is not the right fight for me.' If I just write 'hello' on my social media page, it will get more views than his fight.
Additionally, this guy said: 'Oh, let's do a grappling match.' But that's not our job. Competing in the UFC is our job. I can't disclose what I'm told in the UFC, it would be disrespectful to Alex. Everyone knows this guy is not on my level," Chimaev stated in an interview with ESPN.
Recall that Chimaev won the title in August by defeating Dricus Du Plessis by unanimous decision.
