Ranked UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje is not upset that his next opponent will be Paddy Pimblett, rather than division champion Ilia Topuria.

No disappointment. An interim champion on paper is the same champion, by contract. That's what we fight for. This is my job and a major opportunity.

I didn't know before the announcement that it would be Paddy. I think the UFC wanted to know if Ilia would fight... Everything changed, and he took a break.
