Kamaru Usman, former UFC welterweight champion, said who he thinks should be the next opponent for current titleholder Islam Makhachev in case they don't fight.
“If I were to name someone right now, it would be Prates. Maybe he should have one more fight because he has achieved a lot in a very short time, but not enough for the impact to reach the masses. But I would choose Carlos Prates. Right now I like everything about him. His desire, his enthusiasm to come out and fight. Even if he loses, he can fix everything and come back. I think Dana White and the company like such guys,” Usman said on the Pound-4-Pound podcast.
