White's manager announced refusal to fight Okolie

Michael Ofo, the manager of former heavyweight title contender Dillian Whyte, announced that they declined the fight against Lawrence Okolie.

"I received an offer by email. Honestly, I thought it was a joke or some kind of mistake because the offer was very disgraceful. I didn't even mention it to Dillian because there was simply no point.

You want to arrange a fight on three weeks' notice, paying so little money that Dillian hasn't fought for such an amount in the last ten years? I spoke with Nigerian promoter Ezekiel Adamu four weeks ago about a fight for Dillian in Nigeria. We were told that they were under budget constraints, and now Amir Khan's team comes three weeks before the boxing evening and tries to arrange a fight.

It's just low-level IQ on their part. In reality, Okolie's name makes headlines only when he mentions Dillian. No one talks about his fight. As soon as Okolie mentions Whyte's name, he gets into the news," Ofo told talkSPORT.

Let us remind you that previously Whyte was offered to fight Okolie on December 19 in Lagos, Nigeria.
