Dan Hooker, a ranked UFC lightweight, promised to rid the promotion of Arman Tsarukyan.

"He's the number one contender, next in line for a title fight, and I'm going to rob this guy. That's why I asked for a fight with Arman. I begged Hunter Campbell and Sean Shelby to give me this fight. I told them: "I know you don't like him either—give me the opportunity to get rid of him. I freed you from Gamrot, and now I'll free you from Arman. But in return, you give me a title fight."
