Shevchenko: "I prepared for the fight with Zhang as the toughest challenge in my life"

The UFC champion in the women's flyweight division Valentina Shevchenko commented on her victory over former titleholder from the division below, Zhang Weili, at UFC 322 in New York, USA.

"I prepared for this fight as the toughest challenge of my life. Zhang has immense knockout power, so I couldn't engage in exchanges with her. I was not rushing, did nothing reckless, and tried not only to strike but also to include wrestling and grappling.

Now I have many options. For instance, when I defended the title last time, Natalia Silva showed a very good fight. And at this event, Erin Blanchfield did an excellent job. And I also heard with one ear that Kayla Harrison is calling me out. So, I have a lot to think about," said Shevchenko after the fight.
