Longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan shared his thoughts on Arman Tsarukyan, the promotion’s top-ranked lightweight contender.
“His father is a billionaire, he has plenty of money, but Arman himself is anything but lazy. He destroys the old idea that if you grew up rich, you can’t be a great fighter. It doesn’t matter whether you came up in the ghetto or somewhere else — he’ll still run right through you. When he flew into Los Angeles, he immediately rented a Lamborghini and drove straight to training. That shouldn’t work, but somehow it does for him. He’s built like a Greek god and wrestles like an elite grappler. He can strike, and he can submit you too. So good luck dealing with him. And now he’s angry too, because he keeps getting passed over for a title shot because of that back injury,” Rogan said.
