St-Pierre named the best UFC fighter

Legendary Canadian mixed martial artist Georges St-Pierre believes that currently the best UFC fighter regardless of weight category is former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

“I think right now Makhachev is the best UFC fighter regardless of weight class. He has faced very serious opponents in lightweight. Now he is trying something completely different. Right now he is the best for me. But if he defeats Della Maddalena, he will certainly solidify his status as the best for others as well,” Georges said in an interview with Helen Yee Sports.

Recall that on the night of November 16, in the main event of UFC 322 in New York, USA, Makhachev will fight for the welterweight title against Jack Della Maddalena.
