The legendary former UFC champion in two weight divisions, Georges St-Pierre, commented on the upcoming title fight in the promotion's welterweight division between Jack Della Maddalena and Islam Makhachev.
"Makhachev is set to debut in welterweight. And when you change category and gain muscle mass, in the first fight after that, it feels like you're fighting with a backpack on your back. That's why if the fight goes into the later rounds, Della Maddalena will have the advantage.
I think the fight might easily be one-sided, and Islam will claim a dominant victory through wrestling. But there's also the possibility that Islam might just tire out,” said St-Pierre in an interview with Helen Yee Sports.
