Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champion, mocked Magomed Ankalaev's words about going into the rematch with the Brazilian while injured.
"I've always been injured anyway. And injuries are all the same. Now Ankalaev is talking about some broken rib or something else. If he knew what injuries I go into the octagon with, he would feel bad. He wouldn't want to fight anymore, he'd say, 'Damn, what am I even doing in this organization?' and would leave!
I'm not even going to say anything. But I can bet with him—I'll show my medical results, and we'll compare who has what. I doubt this guy went through what I've been through," Pereira's words are cited by BJ Penn.
