Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov explained why he was never close to Jon Jones.

“We are not friends with Jon. If we talk about human relationships with him, my friend always had conflicts and made a fuss with him. I could not be in close relations with Jon and never was. Since I always remained on the side of Cormier.”
