“I am not sure that Jones will walk away without fighting Aspinall, as the idea that he ran away from him will stick for a long time. And I am not sure that his ego can handle the fact that he avoided someone. The idea that people thought of him as a coward means more to him than taking the risk. Especially when there is a real opportunity to surpass Tom Aspinall. There is a real chance that he will go out and surpass Aspinall. That is why I believe he will fight him,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel.
