Arman Tsarukyan, the number one ranked lightweight in the UFC, named the fighter who should become the next opponent of the promotion’s champion in this weight class, Islam Makhachev.
“Right now, I am not in the title race as I got injured, my turn has passed, but if there is a fight for the vacant title — I will fight for the vacant title. If Makhachev moves to another weight class, if he stays, then there will be someone to fight. Most likely, it will be Topuria. And after Topuria, he will fight me if I win one more fight or, let’s say, if there is no new name,” said Tsarukyan.
