Javier Mendes, trainer of Islam Makhachev, reacted to the news that Justin Gaethje could be his ward's next opponent.
"Fantastic! If it's going to be Justin Gaethje, then that means we're going to focus on Justin Gaethje. That would be perfect for us - a great option given his current standing and accomplishments. He's a very well-known guy and Islam hasn't fought him yet. So he's the perfect opponent," the AKA club head told Submission Radio.
