Topuria confident of victory over Makhachev

Elijah Topuria, who recently officially moved up to lightweight, has claimed that he can beat the current UFC champion in that division, Islam Makhachev.

"I really believe I can beat Makhachev. I really think so. He's a great champion. You can't just become a world champion. You have to be good at everything. And he's really a beast. I don't like fighting guys I'm confident in beating. I like fighting guys that the fans see as real competitors. I like to create that expectation. That's going to be the story with Islam," Topuria said.
