UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis commented on his victory over former titleholder Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia.
I wanted to come out and knock him out, but like I said, it's almost impossible to knock him out. It would have been great if we had been given one more round, but unfortunately the rules don't allow that. I dominated the whole fight, gave it my best, sorry of course I couldn't take him out, but I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you, Sydney, for the reception," said Du Plessis after the fight.
Recall that Du Plessis defeated Strickland by unanimous decision of the judges.
