Adesanya called his mistake in the fight with Imavov

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya analyzed his loss to Nassourdin Imawowu.

"I knew I was going to catch him at the end of the second or third round. I had to take a break. Again, in saying that, I'm not looking for excuses or diminishing his merit. He hit me because I needed to reset, but I thought it was OK.

I was in the wrong distance because when you catch the rhythm, you're in the flow and then that poke in the eye knocked me out of it. I should have been 15-20 centimeters further away when changing stance, and he was smart enough to realize that and catch me. It was a perfect moment and then he added a left hook at the net and I realized it was the end," Adesanya said on his YouTube channel.
