Page explained why Makhachev isn't the UFC's best fighter

UFC British middleweight Michael Page has speculated on the promotion's lightweight champion Islam Makhachev's place in mixed martial arts.

"Islam is incredible. Can he be called an amazing MMA fighter? 100 percent. To call him a force to be reckoned with? 100 percent. The best fighter on the planet outside of weight classes? I don't know yet.

When you say king of MMA, you think of Demetrious Johnson, Jon Jones. Those guys are epic. They beat a lot of tough fighters, showed fantastic fights. It's too early to compare Makhachev to them," Page said in an interview with Sportskeeda.

Page defeated Sharabutdin Magomedov by unanimous decision last weekend at UFC Fight Night 250 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
