Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold proposed to the promotion's management to bring together the belt holders in the promotion's lightweight and welterweight divisions - Islam Makhachev and Elijah Topuria - in the octagon.
"Topuria owns the featherweight belt, wants to move up and try to take a second title. It's safe, he doesn't lose anything. Conor McGregor came up with this scheme back in the day. Oh, and Topuria is a freaking gangster. He's good at everything. I'd like to see that fight. Topuria wants to beat Islam with a submission? That shit will never happen," Rockhold told Submission Radio.
